Haunted Houses and Halloween Events Around Miami in 2026

If you want somewhere to take the kids — or somewhere they should not go — start with our Halloween entertainment page and then pick a night out that matches the ages in the car.

This is a traffic post, not a booking menu. Hours and tickets change. Confirm on the venue’s own site before you drive. What follows is what we could verify for fall 2026 as of late September. If a listing was only on a roundup blog and not on the operator’s page, it’s not here.

House of Horror at Tropical Park. After more than 25 years, the carnival moved for 2026. The operator’s site puts it at Tropical Park, 7900 SW 40th Street, Miami, opening September 24. Posted hours: Monday through Thursday and Sunday 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 6 p.m. to midnight. Closed September 28 and October 5. General admission is listed from $39.99, kids 6 and under from $19.99, with houses, carnival rides, and parking bundled on that ticket. Attractions named on the site include Howie’s Blind Terror, The Warden’s Game, Camp Dead-End Trails, The Abduction: Facility 31, and Isla de las Muñecas. There is a family-leaning House of Little Horrors zone and a 21+ Club Blood Type lounge. That mix is why you still have to sort the night by age before you buy.

The Horrorland at Jungle Island. Season 7 is on the operator’s site at Jungle Island, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail. They describe haunted houses, scare zones, and a circus-style show, with gates at 7 p.m. and a welcome show at 7:30. Dates are sold as select nights in fall 2026 — we could not confirm a single printed calendar of every open night from the homepage, so buy from their ticket vendor and read the date you’re actually purchasing. Weekends sell first. This is a scare park. It’s not Zoo Boo.

Zoo Boo at Zoo Miami. The Greater Miami CVB and 2026 event calendars list Zoo Boo on Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 12400 SW 152nd Street. It is built for younger kids: trick-or-treat, costume contests, games, included with regular zoo admission. Confirm current ticket prices on Zoo Miami. If you have toddlers, this is the weekend, not Jungle Island after dark.

Monster Masquerade at Zoo Miami. Zoo Miami’s own calendar lists this 21-and-over night on Saturday, October 17, 2026, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. It’s a costume party, not a kids’ event. Don’t bring the class.

What we didn’t put on this page. Home haunts that only appear on fan maps. A Fairgrounds “scream park” that showed up on a local blog but not on an operator page we could open. Deering Estate evening tours with dates we could not confirm on Deering’s own site. Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream is a Tampa ticket, not a Miami night. If you want that drive, check Busch Gardens Tampa directly — select nights September 11 through October 31, 2026, separately ticketed.

Neighborhood trunk-or-treats, city “safe streets,” and church lots still carry most of the kids in Broward and Miami-Dade. Those flyers live on Facebook and school emails. They’re not a haunted house. They are also where a lot of our October work actually is.

How to pick. Under six: Zoo Boo or a church lot in daylight. Six to ten: a carnival with a kid zone, or a backyard party you control. Teens and adults: Jungle Island or Tropical Park, and read the scare warnings. Mixed ages in one car usually means two stops or a short kid event plus candy at home. Don’t drag a preschooler through a blackout maze because parking was easier.

Heat and rain still run October here. Night events are outdoors. Bring water. Have a backup if a storm sits on the lot. Lines at the paid haunts are the night — Fast Pass exists because the houses stack. We’re not those parks. We don’t sell their tickets.

Parking is the part roundups skip. Tropical Park and Jungle Island both sit on causeways and park roads that jam when a night sells. Screenshot the lot instructions from the venue, not from a blog. Zoo Boo is a daytime zoo lot — still busy, still a walk, still strollers. If you have a toddler, the zoo weekend is the one that doesn’t require a 9 p.m. exit through a scare zone.

Age recommendations on scare parks aren’t a suggestion. If a page says 10 and up, believe it. We get the calls the next morning from parents who took a five-year-old into a blackout maze because an older cousin wanted to go. Split the group. Or skip the maze and do candy at home with a character you control. That’s a different night and a different company. We won’t pretend we run Jungle Island.

City and school events still pop up in October — trunk-or-treats, “safe streets,” mall nights. Those dates live on each city’s site and on school emails. We don’t reprint them here because they change by the week and we would be inventing a calendar. If you want a performer at one of those lots, you still need the organizer’s blessing and a place that is not the fire lane.

If the night you actually need is a performer in a backyard, a clubhouse, or an office, see the full range of characters we offer and call with the date. The parks above are for going out. We are for the house that still wants a character after you get home, or instead of the ticket line.

What this page is not: a ticket booth. If a haunt moved, sold out, or changed hours after we wrote it, the operator is right and we’re not. Recheck the week you go. Operators cut nights. They add them. A page written in September isn’t a wristband.

Recheck dates the week you go. Operators cut nights. They add them. A page written in September isn’t a wristband. Zoo Miami, House of Horror, and The Horrorland all take their own money. Start there.
